I have pain at the edge of my heel. Is this plantar fasciitis?
I used to have plantar fasciitis but after going for acpuncture, it has fully recovered. but now, i experience pain at the edge of my heel and as far as i know, pain caused by plantar fasciitis is located at the inner heel. I’m puzzled whether I have a relapse of plantar fasciitis.

It could be just a planters wart which could be the same thing?! but as far as I know a platers wart is a build up of skin underneath layers of skin. hope this helps! They have stuff at the pharmacy that can help.
I would go and see a podiatrist to find out if it is related. I had plantar faciaitis and the pain first presented itself as heel pain. I was also daignosed with heel spurs, which were a direct result of the tightening of the plantar faciaitis. I went for ultra sound and laser therapy which worked for me, although I still need to be extremely careful about what shoes I wear and how I treat my feet. Plantar faciaitis isn’t something that ever really fully goes away, it is a condition that is always there, you just have to find a treatment to lessen the symptoms. I have custom orthotics and see my podiatrist every six months.
That could be many different problems, achilles tendonitis, plantar fasciitis, flexor hallucis strain, etc. Your best bet is to go to the podiatrist and find out!
It could be - if you are curious enough you may want to find out what the reflexology (charts) say that the spot that is hurting is “linked” to, there have been times that the pain in my foot had nothing to do with my foot but the cause was another area in my body was hurting (causing the nerve endings in my foot to hurt too)
Have a few more accupuncture treatments and see if the heel pain goes away.
