Plantar Fasciitis Surgery:

“I had plantar fasciitis on my left and it was very very painful before my surgery. I couldn’t put any weight on my foot at all and I couldn’t walk at all. For 6 weeks I wore a boot and tried everything and nothing worked so I had to have surgery. Now I am 90-95% better after my physical therapy. If I get heel spurs again I will definitely have surgery again. The surgery was fantastic and people were more than fantastic. Physical therapy was great and the Dr. Wellens was wonderful. I still have a little bit of pain but I appreciate what you have done for me. Thank you!”

Well they sotra put my surgery off for a bit because they want me to try all these excercise that “won’t” work lol. Meanwhile I’m in a great deal of pain. My husband said the Dr. is only putting it off 2 months because he wants me to see him a few more times to make more money off me. I think he’s right. I mean why not just do the surgery huh? I will have to have both feet done too. I got back to my dr. next week to discuss the surgery. I’m scared still

Dewdrops, Did you get my respond back to your comment? ; ) I hope you did. I only ask because it didn’t look like it went thru? Let me know ok? Good luck, but let me know. Waves and smiles!

Hi dewdrops ; ) I’m happy to hear your having the surgery b/c I hope you will feel so much better. Mine is getting worse even after having cortozone shots. It’s a loosing battle for me I guess? I spoke to my regular MD about surgery and he said that it would be the last thing he’d do before surgery. YIkes I thought.Maybe after your surger you won’t need orthotics? You might come out really good ; )Let me know how your surger goes ok?I will be thinking of you ok?Good luck

@ohpineapples #2 Are you having the microscopic surgery? Are they going to remove the spur? I am going to be able to walk in a ‘walking boot’ right away and not have a long healing time like you mention. You must be having something more intense done?

@ohpineapples I am having the microscopic surgery on my plantar fascitis next week. I am not as afraid having viewed this video. I have done everything else and put up with this problem for many years….I want it better! I am wondering if I will be able to NOT wear the orthotics after surgery? These don’t work in every pair of shoes. What do you all know out there about the no orthotics after surgery? Thanks!

Very good video because I am going to have surgery soon for PF and heel/bone spurs soon and I am sacred. This helped to ease my mind some ; ) The only draw back is they say you have to be out of work for 6 to 8 weeks. I am the only girl in my office and I’m afraid to tell my boss I will be gone so long. In these times - I’m not sure how he will react !!!! Any comments would be appreciated! Thank you !! Waves and winks!
