Q&A: What shoes are best for plantar fasciitis?

What shoes are best for plantar fasciitis?
I am looking at getting some good shoes for plantar fasciitis. The ones I have looked at are pretty expensive. I want to get some input from others before I pay that kind of money. Any and all comments would be most welcome!!

Shoes aren’t really going to help much. Plantar fascitis is caused by your achilles tendon tightening up on your leg and as it pulls on the ends of your muscles as it shortens up, it pulls up on your heel as that is the end that has the least amount of resistance to it. The other end is your knee. When the tendon pulls up on your heel it causes pain where it’s attached, and can cause pain in your ankle as well for it pulls your foot up into your ankle so it can move as it should for walking. To get rid of that pain you have to free up the tendon in your leg and here’s how to do that:
Achilles tendon:
While sitting and your leg on your lap, take both thumbs and place them side by side at about ankle height on the tendon on the back of your leg and apply pressure hard and hold. After 30 seconds slowly raise your toes up as far as you can, release the pressure but hold your foot there for another 30 seconds.
For best results relax your body first by taking a deep breath and exhaling then remain this relaxed.

Hi
Maybe you will get many answers from people who want you to buy their favorite kind of shoes but believe me good shoes for one individual are bad for the other. I have plantar fasciitis and I have been through a long journey looking for a good shoe. I was standing in your place googling and looking at related forum discussions for the good shoe. A good shoe for one is not good for the other. An expensive shoe is not necessarily good for heel pain.
You should find your kind of shoe, one that feels comfortable and give you support. It depends on many factors such as wide or narrow foot, high or low arch, your favorite kind of sport etc. You should try to use good cushioning shoe which has motion control and is not flexible in the middle. There is a good website that I use to take a look at from time to time. Many good ideas that I took from there and there is a page about shoes too-
